You can either pass, dribble or shoot.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-655\" src=\"https:\/\/www.daefoundation.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/1231801277.0-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"pivot basketball Lebron James\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Often in basketball you can\u2019t move both your feet. You have to work off of your pivot foot. You have to be grounded. If you move the pivot foot, you\u2019ve walked which is against the rules. You have rivals in your face, the ball in your hands and you can\u2019t move. What do you do? You pivot.<\/p>\n<p>When you feel like you\u2019ve hit a dead end or you can\u2019t take your student-athlete career any further, just remember you\u2019re in the pivot position\u2026 And that\u2019s the 3RIPLE 3HREAT position. You aren\u2019t cornered. It\u2019s not a dead end.<\/p>\n<p>You simply have to make a choice. At least in life, you have the luxury of time to make a decision. In basketball, the shot clock is counting down the seconds.<\/p>\n<p>All student-athletes at some point in their career have dreams of becoming a professional athlete. However, very few athletes actually make it to that elite level. Skill level, injuries, family and other things can derail your dreams.
