Saturdae, August 8, 2026; 11 am – 1 pm The DAE Foundation invites Lowcountry students to a free Back to School event on Saturdae, August 8; 11 am – 1 pm at the City Gym in downtown Charleston. There will be free school supplies distributed to students to help fill their backpacks for the upcoming school year. Paisano\u2019s Pizza<\/a> is providing free pizza, and the DAE Foundation\u2019s Jermel President will lead a basketball open-gym shoot around for attending students. A gently-used sporting equipment swap will be set up to help residents pass along their out-grown shoes, bats, gloves, balls, racquets, and more to students in need of new items.<\/p>\n To donate school supplies and gently-used sporting equipment, a tax-deductible donation can be made at the City Gym (Arthur W. Christopher Community Center) 265 Fishburne St, Downtown Charleston <\/a>on the day of the event. Have more than you can handle?
