College Prep Seminars

 

Boys and girls involved in high school basketball (9th-12th grade)

Seminars are held throughout the school year and during special events.

Seminars are held in high schools and at other venues when held during special events.

Past speakers have included Coach John Kresse and representatives of Kaplan.

Focus:

  • Is designed to educate student-athletes about the rigors of balancing athletics and academics.
  • Provides student-athletes with much-needed guidance and support as they prepare for college.
  • Offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the process of gaining acceptance and funding to go to college as a student-athlete

Format:

  • Is held in the tri-county area.
  • Representatives from colleges, academic organizations and businesses are invited to speak to student-athletes.
  • After speakers present, open communication is encouraged so that student-athletes can have their questions answered and tap into the valuable resource of information that these community leaders provide.
  • Handouts are available for student-athletes and their parents to take home and refer to later.
