The KNOWLEDGE WALK is a collaboration between Connecktedtoo and the DAE Foundation as part of Piccolo Spoleto Festival.

📍 Where: Cannon Street Arts Center, 134 Cannon Street

Designed to provide high school students with information about growing as artists, athletes or entrepreneurs, we will ask students questions related to Charleston, education and how to transform dreams into goals. Through these questions, students will become more aware of obstacles and opportunities while onlookers will observe a performance mapping of network development and potential needs of a community’s youth.

The DAE Foundation will host Open Gym sunDAEs this summer for middle & high school basketball players. The program will allow athletes to continue playing after their travel season is completed.

“Open Gym is to get players from the Lowcountry prepared for the upcoming season,” says DAE founder, Jermel President, “They’ll also get to enhance their level of performance and basketball IQ.”

Dates: 

  • June 23rd, 30th
  • July 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th
  • August 4th, 11th, 18th

Times:

MIDDLE SCHOOL OPEN GYM

  • 3pm – 5pm 7th/8th Grade Boys

HIGH SCHOOL OPEN GYM

  • 5pm-7pm High School (JV/Varsity) Boys

Location: Burke High School

Registration begins: May 1st

Space is limited! Athletes are urged to register in advance by sending an email to daefoundation@gmail.comwith the subject line “Open Gym Sundaes”. For further details and updates, like the DAE Foundation on Facebook at www.facebook.com/DAEfoundation.

All participants have to be registered in order to play. No walk-ins. The high school scrimmages will be live streamed.
